In an era of plasma cutters and laser/computer generated figures, Gary still uses a hand-held flame cutting torch to cut his artistic designs out of steel plate, and is known by his peers as one of the best 'cutters' in the country. Gary's ability to grind extraordinary features into the steel reflect his unusual talents and dedication to detail. Gary uses his torch's heat to color the art and has recently devised a patina that many of his wall hangings exhibit. Finishing touch

These are samples of the final finish. It is very smooth, hard, and beautiful. This is a completly new finish I have created with different rust solutions, patinas, heat, waxes, clearcoats and a lot of experimenting. I use this finish on all my work.
