In an era of plasma cutters and laser/computer generated figures, Gary still uses a hand-held flame cutting torch to cut his artistic designs out of steel plate, and is known by his peers as one of the best 'cutters' in the country. Gary's ability to grind extraordinary features into the steel reflect his unusual talents and dedication to detail. Gary uses his torch's heat to color the art and has recently devised a patina that many of his wall hangings exhibit. All of The Iron Gallery's work is made by hand; a very unusual claim in this age.

Arrow Floor Lamp

The lamp is 60" tall. The arrows are all handmade by the artist. The shade is also handmade of 14 gauge sheet metal. The colors are from a special technique from the torch. The lamp and the shade have a clear coat to prevent oxidation. For more information email gary@artofiron.com.
